2.0 Update Announcement!

Hi Dragons!

The wait for the massive 2.0 update on Kingdom Island has been for a month now! However the staff reveal some more information on the update!

Hello Dragons, 

Finally, we're ready to release Kingdom Island's HTML5 2.0 version update! We have a few days of testing and will have it live for all to play on Saturday, February 2nd, 2013!

This update is big... well worth the month wait. There are so many new features, we're so excited to share them all with you- so be sure to be online February the 2nd to experience the 2.0 update! There are a few spoilers in blog posts back and in the image above. What do you see?

We also want to remind everyone to submit their entries to our item design contest which ends on February 10th. Forum accounts are free to create and a great way to connect with other Kingdom Island players! Staff reads every idea. In fact, a few of the ideas posted on the forums made it into the 2.0 update. Pretty cool! Be sure to join the forums and tell your friends via Facebook and Twitter about the 2.0 update!

Whooohooo! This is great news! The huge update will be released this Saturday! I don't know what im looking forward to the most but I think one of the coolest things will be the incorporation of ideas from the forums!

Hi there dragons!

My name is Sand, short for Sandano.

Some of you may know me from other virtual worlds and I have decided to come back to virtual world blogging after the release of the new Kingdom Island! 

I aim to bring you up to date information, sneak peaks, guides and much more on Kingdom Island Tips! 

If you ever see me around Kingdom Island then don't feel shy! I'm an active member of the forums so feel free to ask any questions via the comments!

Meet The Characters

Greeny

Greeny is known to be "the nicest dragon on the island."
He's always available to help out and knows how to turn a
bad situation good. Usually, greeny can be found hanging around t
he movie theater!

Bigly

Bigly is well, a tad overweight. He's always eating and can't
seem to break the bad habit! He doesn't like to walk around the
island too much and generally can be found sitting on the throne
chair inside the castle!

Bibby

Bibby is young dragon who thinks he's a wizard! Unfortunately, he's not but he has a great drive in achieving his goals. Bibby doesn't have a favorite spot on the island- he walks all around and is always looking to have a friendly conversation with other dragons!

Elmer - The Elder
Elmer is quite old and was one of the first dragons to set foot on the island. Along with his friends the Bugz, he holds clues to the history of the island. Sometimes he forgets what really happened and makes things up... making it hard to know what is true or not. Elmer can usually be found in courtyard by the old tree.

Lola

Lola is a very social and knows all the other dragons on the island.
She really enjoys building sand castles on the beach and can
usually be found there. On occasion,she visits Elmer in the courtyard
 for fashion advice.

Spinno

Spinno is a little crazy. He spends almost all of this time conducting 

experiments and rarely sees the light of day. Little is known about 

Spinno, but there have been reports that he is trying to take over 

Kingdom Island!

Bugz

Bugz are the other inhabitants of the island and have been
here long before the dragons. Bugz are Elmer's helpers, they know
all the history of the island and can be a great help when looking
to unlock the mysteries or find treasure. Bugz show up at random
and only come out when help is needed.

Obstacle Dash Guide

Obstacle dash is like a mini game. You can't play it in game. The only way to get to the game is through the main website or Click Here. In the game your embark on a quest to save the bugz from the evil
Spinno!

You can to run, jump, bounce and dodge lots of different obstacles that get in your way. 

There are 27 levels and you have 3 lives to be careful!!!

When you first start you will notice a tool bar at the top! It shows...

Your level, the number of lives you have left, the amount of stars you need/have,

music and the main menu button.

The main objective the the whole game is to of course save the bugz but each level has a certain amount of stars to collect. Just walk up to them to collect them!

However!!! Watch out for the spikes and other dangerous obstacles that are waiting to take your lives!

When jumping over gaps make sure you jump at the least second to make sure you cover enough distance.

Also another tip is that if you hold down the "up" arrow then you will jump for longer!

The App

Kingdom Island actually first started out as an App on Itunes for ipods, iphones, ipads etc. The game has been in development for 6 years and now on 5th January 2013... It took to the big stage! 

There are currently 2 version of Kingdom Island on the app store: The free version and the HD version, which costs $1.99.

There are aren't huge differences in the Apps apart from in the HD Version there are no ads, better graphics and it updates more. Take a look at the difference in graphics at the Harbour.

The log in screen and a few other rooms are the same as the online version.

Castle

This is the Kingdom Island map, which is slightly different to the

in game version!

There has been some rumors that there may be exclusive clothes just for the app. The team are working hard to sync the online accounts with the app accounts. At the moment you have to make two separate accounts. They are hoping to merge the two so you can play on your account on the computer or on your Idevice!

How To Get Clothes

This guide will teach you how to access and buy your clothing items! 

There are only a few at the moment however more clothes will be available soon!

To choose the item of clothing you want to wear, first click your "

User ID" which is in the bottom toolbar.

Here you can change the colour of your dragon to red, blue or green. 

To change your outfit click "Change Outfit"

The only items available are a blue t-shirt, tie and jesters hat at the moment.

Click on the item you wish to buy then click purchase. Each item costs 50 gold coins!

 You can check your current gold balanceat the bottom of the User ID. If you don't

 have enough gold and wish to purchase more then click here 

You know have some awesome clothes to dress your dragon with! 

Don't worry though, more clothes will be available to buy soon!

How To Get Gold

This guide will teach you how to purchase gold through the game.

It is very simple so don't worry and the gold doesn't cost that much! You can get gold

for only $2.00!

First, open up your User ID in the bottom toolbar to the right.

Then click "Purchase Gold"

It will then open a new tab and direct you to the official

 kingdom island website to purchase you gold.

Choose which package you would like to buy. 

If you buy the "Gold Bars" then you are saving a lot of money instead of buying

lots of single or multiple packs.

You will then be asked to enter your username and password 

in order to buy your gold.

Click "Check out" to complete your purchase!

Whoo hooooo! Now you have some gold to spend on awesome items!
